GABRIELA TSCHERNIAK,
of German-Jewish origin and Latvian-born, started her career as a director’s
assistant in theatre productions in Berlin and as a photographer for bands,
society magazines and fashion labels. Through her studies in Industrial
Design and Photography she became interested in experimental film-making,
which she first strongly pursued during her studies and work in London
at Central St. Martins and during the Pratt Institute Erasmus exchange
program in New York. She also attended the classes at the “Konrad
Wolf” Academy of Film and Television in Potsdam and the M.F.A program
at the American Film Institute, during which she directed several shorts.
… about the future of our productions
Our production is focusing on fiction features and documentary projects.
We hope to develop stories that sell because they touch your heart and
challenge your mind at the same time. There has to be an authenticity
that is visible and a humor that makes you laugh because of a familiar
situation.
Fiction does not have to be factual but a convincing reflection of the
human condition. We constantly foster and search for unique stories
with believable characters with wit and sometimes a good healthy portion
of black humour. It can range from art-house, to drama, to comedy and
to a documentary with a convincing premise to a solid structure and full
of inventive ideas of an international scope.
We are an international multicultural directing and producing team that
combines countries and cultures.
We think and aim international.
We are interested in co-productions and will happily embrace new ideas
and inputs.
